When the temperature drops sharply, the engine will be difficult to start and the coolant will freeze, etc. ZLIN Group warmly reminds you that before the cold winter comes, you need to maintain and store your stock of machines properly, and the specific ways to prevent the cold are as follows:

Fuel:
When working in the cold area in winter, sometimes the phenomenon that the fuel freezes and the engine is difficult to start. Therefore, please use fuel (diesel) that is compatible with the outside temperature.

Diesel fuel contains paraffin wax, so once it solidifies, it will not flow and the vehicle will not start. In addition to replacing the diesel fuel and diesel fuel filter, drain the water from the oil-water separator and the drain valve at the bottom of the fuel tank. In winter, once the diesel fuel solidification, never available open fire baking, but should be heated by hot water or hot steam, if the conditions do not allow, can only let the machine in the warmth of the sun natural thawing.

Notes on winter operation and maintenance

Battery:
In cold season, the discharge current is higher when starting the machine, the performance of the battery decreases, and the battery liquid sometimes freezes when the discharge is excessive. Fully charge the battery and keep it warm to start the machine the next morning.

Warm up your machinery and equipment:
For the engine, when starting at low temperatures because of the viscosity of the oil, it will cause the lubricant short-term oil supply is insufficient, not all over the lubrication points, so that the engine is damaged. Therefore, the engine should be idling for a period of time after starting, to be up after the water temperature before adding load. Hydraulic system preheating is also the same. The temperature is too low, the viscosity of hydraulic oil, so that the oil suction difficulties, the pump oil quantity is insufficient, affecting the strength and sensitivity of the action of the executive element. If the load at this time, because the negative pressure is too large, can cause damage to the hydraulic pump, at the same time will cause insufficient lubrication of hydraulic parts, shorten service life. Therefore, it is important to do a good job of warming up.

Strengthen the equipment inspection, maintenance work:
Lower temperatures, equipment cylinders, hydraulic pipe joints and other seals will be cracked shrinkage caused by poor sealing leakage, the transmission connectors, bolts will also be affected by low temperatures resulting in a decline in strength, stiffness, such as the engine side of the water sealing plug cover leakage, drive shaft screws loose, pin connection fall off and so on. So we should strengthen the inspection, timely detection of problems, will be small hidden trouble elimination, to avoid causing major failures. At the same time, we should also strengthen the maintenance work, low temperature grease fluidity is poor, grease is more timely replenishment. Every day before the start and after the close of work should be strictly inspected to avoid the occurrence of man-made accidents, to ensure the normal operation of the equipment, to ensure the normal conduct of winter construction.

Main matters after the end of operation:

1.Please clean off the dirt, water and other debris attached to the hydraulic cylinder rod to prevent damage to the seals of the hydraulic cylinder rod.

2. Park the machine on dry ground or lay wooden boards on the ground to prevent the travelling parts from freezing.

3. Please open the drain valve of the fuel tank to remove the accumulated water to prevent the fuel from freezing.

Maintenance requirements for long-term storage in winter

Before storage:
Clean all parts of the machine; add oil and grease to all parts; if it must be stored outdoors, please park the machine in a place with good drainage, low humidity and good ventilation, lay wooden boards on the floor and cover the machine with a cover cloth; in high-cold areas, please cover the engine with a quilt and remove the battery and put it in the house.

During storage:
(1) Bucket/small arm cylinder rod is fully retracted, the big arm is lowered so that the tip of the small arm is on the ground. (The exposed part of the cylinder rod of the big arm should be coated with anti-rust oil.) If it is not possible to store it as described above due to the limitation of the storage place, the exposed part of the cylinder rod should be coated with anti-rust oil.

(2) Start the engine every half a month (15 days), and check each part of the engine, the content of which is the same as that of the inspection before the machine works:

① Check the fuel, hydraulic oil, rotary reducer oil, oil, cooling water, battery for leakage, etc., and replenish when the amount is insufficient.

②Start the E / G idling, after the machine is fully warmed up to confirm each action.
